The last road trip in our 2022 road trip series is the Alberta portion of the Deh Cho Trail. Deh cho is the Slavey and Dogrib name for the Mackenzie River and translates to “big river.” This road trip is for the true adventurers looking to explore Alberta’s wilderness. You’ll start off in Edmonton and head north along the 1,000 km route to High Level.

It’s a trip you may have made several times before. We’re talking about the Edmonton to Calgary journey, or vice versa. But have you explored all there is to see along the way? Come along for a road trip on the Boomtown Trail and see an old road in a new light.

Saddle up for a ride on the Cowboy Trail. This route is over 500-km, extending from the foothills of the Alberta Rockies up through the ranchlands to Mayerthorpe. Whether you’re a history buff, a nature aficionado or just looking for some adventure, this road trip has something for everyone.

The Dinosaur Trail is a circular route located in the Alberta badlands paralleling the Red Deer River on both sides, from Drumheller to the Bleriot Ferry.
