The World’s Largest Dinosaur in Drumheller

By Kellie Davenport

When visiting the “Dinosaur Capital of the World” (a.k.a. Drumheller), a stop at the visitor centre is the perfect prehistoric starting point. You can’t miss it: Just look for the self-proclaimed World’s Largest Dinosaur, a towering 25-metre T-Rex replica standing guard over the centre. Kids and grownups of all ages can climb to the top of the dino to peer through its imposing chompers. After taking in the view of the surrounding Badlands, let little paleontologists stretch their weary bones at the nearby splash pad. And before setting out on a dino-hunting adventure, grab some maps and materials at the visitor centre to “dig up” attractions and events throughout the Drumheller Valley region.
