This is AMA: Jonathan Koch

By AMA Staff

Where most people would see an empty prairie or abandoned farmhouse, Jonathan Koch sees a story waiting to be discovered. Exploring Alberta’s history, and the untold tales of those who lived here, Koch is passionate about preserving the province’s heritage.

A fourth-generation son of southeastern Alberta, Koch became an amateur gumshoe in 2009, when he launched the Forgotten Alberta Project. The award-winning website raises awareness of pioneer-era history while helping families reconnect with their roots.

In this month’s This is AMA, Koch shares his heart for honouring the stories, people and places of our past.
