This is AMA: Freson Bros.

By AMA Staff

It’s truly a family affair at Freson Bros. Not only do three generations work together, they’ve nourished Alberta families since 1955.

While their chain of grocery stores keeps growing, one thing hasn’t changed: their commitment to supporting local. They sell everything from grown-in-Alberta cantaloupes to sourdough made with local flour. Their head office is in Stony Plain.

“Community is the backbone of Freson Bros.,” says Doug Lovsin, one of three brothers who help run the company. “We’re about family, community and our heritage.”

In our latest installment of This Is AMA, we celebrate Family Day with the Lovsins, who are boosting producers one Alberta melon at a time.
