How to Save on Brunch in Alberta

By AMA Staff

A family brunch outing is a fun and filling way to make your weekend just a little more memorable. It can also be a little more affordable, thanks to your AMA membership, which ensures savings at these popular restaurants across Alberta.

MILESTONES
Breakfast tacos? Eggs Benedict with grilled shrimp, bacon and avocado? There’s something for everyone on the menu at Milestones, an ideal spot to catch up on girlfriend gossip or gather for family get-togethers. If you lean towards traditional fare, Milestones has a section of the menu just for you. The Big Breakfast is an enormous serving of smoked bacon, farmer’s sausage, smoked ham, French toast and parmesan breakfast potatoes. AMA members save 10% in restaurant.

SMITTY’S
Boasting dozens of locations throughout the province, this Calgary-founded franchise has been serving eager-to-please diner fare—plus a great many all-day breakfast options—for more than 50 years. There are five different breakfast skillets, but the Albertan in you will love the Ukrainian skillet, featuring eight cheddar and potato perogies topped with three scrambled eggs, onion, grated cheddar cheese and grilled farmer’s sausage. Child-sized versions of omelettes, French toast, pancakes and more are all $6.99. Tykes can also sign up for the Smitty’s Kids’ Club, which offers savings including coupons for a free meal on their birthday. AMA members save 10% on dining.

TUTTI FRUTTI BREAKFAST & LUNCH
This breakfast-and-lunch chain’s four Edmonton and area locations mean your family is never too far from a tasty and nutritious meal. Children have lots of options here, thanks to the variety of just-sweet-enough crepe, French toast and waffle offerings. Parents can rest easy knowing that many dishes come piled high with fresh fruit (and the fact that nutritional information for every menu item is available online.)
