ALBERTA INNOVATORS
Albertans are doing amazing things to shape the future of Canada—in its 150th year and beyond. Take Sherwood Park’s Nap Pepin, who built a reverse electric trike that gets about 200 kilometres per battery charge. The AMA member’s innovation could help change how we travel, be it commuting to work or cruising for pleasure. Join AMA in celebrating Canada’s 150th birthday by recognizing Albertans who are making a difference in technology, the arts and their communities. Share your story, or that of someone you know, at Canada150in150.ca, and vote for your favourite. The top 150 stories will receive an award.

NO CAR REQUIRED
You don’t need four wheels to get help from AMA.

AMA Bike Assist: Use any of your annual service calls to get air for flats, chain and loose-part adjustments, and more, plus transport to a repair shop or back home.

Kids Go Free: Add your kids (under 16) to a Plus or Premier membership for free. They can get roadside assistance even if they’re not with you.

And don’t forget: AMA membership covers you. If you’re a passenger in someone else’s vehicle, we’ll still come to the rescue.

TIRE CHANGE
For warmer-weather driving conditions, switch from winter to three-season tires with Kal Tire. Members save 5% on new tires, 5% on custom wheels and 10% on mechanical parts and service.

MOUNTAIN LODGINGS
Now is the time to arrange a summer stay in the Rockies. Accommodations fill up fast for the high season, so plan ahead. Book with AMA and get our Best Price Guarantee. If you find a lower price, send us the details. If it qualifies, we’ll credit or refund you the difference—and give you $25 reward dollars.

SHRED AHEAD
Guard against identity theft by destroying no-longer-needed personal documents at AMA shredding events. Held across the province every weekend in April and May, the events help you securely dispose of sensitive papers, CDs and DVDs. We’ll shred up to six boxes for free (a $72 value). The events are free for members, but you can help out the community by bringing a foodbank donation. Last year, 14,000 members rid themselves of 233 tons of docs.

VEHICLE REGISTRATION
The province no longer mails reminders about your vehicle registration expiry. Sign up for AMA’s Vehicle Registration Auto-Renew service and we’ll remember for you—plus we’ll mail your new plate stickers and registration directly to your home.

Still prefer to renew in person? We can handle it at any AMA centre.

Remember, your vehicle registration expires in:

• Feb: last name beginning M (excluding Me) or Q
• Mar: last name beginning B (excluding Be) or Y
• Apr: last name beginning D or G (excluding Gr)

MORE COVERAGE
Hey Uber driver! Figuring out how to insure your ride can be confusing. AMA Insurance has partnered with Uber to make sure you’re covered— whether you’re using your car for personal use or if you’ve got a fare. But every insurance company treats this situation differently. Talk to an insurance advisor to make sure you understand when, and if, you’re covered.
